Setting Up Dynamic Search Ads
Dynamic search ads are a quick way to drive consumer traffic to your website. It may not need a lot of effort at first but managing and optimizing them is key throughout the duration of the campaign. You need to know the basics about creating ads, groups, and customizing your targeting and bid. You also need to be comfortable with the overall layout Google Ads’ user interface as well as the Google Ads editor platform.
Setting up a dynamic search ad is easy. You need to go to the “Campaigns Tab”, and then click on the blue + sign and select ‘new campaign’. Then select ‘search’ for the campaign type.
Once you’ve selected your campaign type you’ll need to select the goal of your campaign. Then enter the domain your ads will be targeting and click continue.
The next step is setting up some of the basic targeting options such as location targeting and language settings. After you’ve dialed in where you want your ads to show you must determine a budget, bidding strategy, and bid amount you wish to have for your dynamic search ads.
The most important step when setting up a campaign for dynamic search ads is to expand the additional settings and enable dynamic search ads. This step tells Google that you are making a dynamic search campaign and will let you create the dynamic ad targets and ads themselves.
Once you’ve set up the campaign, you’ll be prompted to create the ad groups. You can start by naming it accordingly, and then choosing a dynamic ad target you’d like to use. The options for these are; landing pages, categories, or page feed.
Once you’ve selected and set up your dynamic ad targets you can choose to adjust your bids according to the ad groups you’ve created. If you’re using an automated bidding strategy you can move on to creating the actual ads.
Dynamic ads are one of the simplest ad types to create. They only require a description with the option of adding in a second. The headline, final URL, and display URL are all dynamically generated by Google. Once you’ve added your description(s) you are all set!
